Health Information Group

The Health Information Group, housed within the Georgetown University Medical Center, provides leadership and effective management in the provision of health information delivered through technology for local, state, and national health initiatives.

Health Information through Technology

Comprised of a seasoned team of health education specialists and technology professionals, the Health Information Group develops distance learning curricula, health promotion materials, IT/new media applications, and online resource centers that are rooted in a strong health evidence base and proven communication strategies.

The Group has designed and maintained numerous award-winning electronic resource centers and distance learning curricula that provide essential information to the health care community. Combined, the websites for these projects total over 10,000 pages of content, are accessed by approximately 1.5 million users per year, and provide access to 500,000 full-text health related materials.
